FAQ

Telephone Consultations

MultiCity Medical Centre is able to offer telephone consultation in line with the current Medicare guidelines.
These guidelines change from time to time as Medicare updates with the evolving nature of the pandemic. It is best to phone the practice and the friendly reception team can advise on the most up to date information around this.

What about your confidentiality and privacy policy?

At Multicity Medical and Specialist Center, we keep all our patient’s medical records safe and confidential. We obey the AMA code of Ethics concerning Privacy and Confidentiality. So, we guarantee you that your private and medical data is secure with us.

We do not transfer a patient’s details with a third party or those not concerned in the matter without consent. This way, we maintain a trustworthy and reliable relationship with the patients.

Remember, your personal information is between you and your doctor.

Bulk Billing

Will I be bulk billed?

At MultiCity Medical Centre, we believe in providing accessible healthcare to our communities. This means that we are happy to bill Medicare directly (bulkbill) for the service so that the patient has no out of pocket expense.
Please note: that whilst we bulkbill all items tat can be covered by Medicare, we do provide treatments that are not accepted by Medicare for bulkbilling and can lead to a patient expense. This will always be discussed with you prior to providing any treeatment.

Walk-in Appointments

Is it okay if I come in without an appointment?

Our practices are run by appointment, however if you do find yourself in a situation where you need urgent assistance, please do not hesitate to contact the practice or walk-in so that our highly trained team can triage your needs and act accordingly.
Please ensure that you obey the clinic’s medical protocols.

Medical Certificates

How to obtain a health certificate?

Consult your doctor to receive a medical certificate.
Please remember that medical certificates cannot be issued from a previous date, and we do not encourage such false practices.
If you need a medical certificate, kindly consult us as soon as possible.

Can I get the test results over a call?

MultiCity Medical Centre does not share confidential medical test results over the phone call.
It is challenging to verify a caller’s identity, permitting immoral people to access sensitive details such as test results.
The perfect option is to call us and share your queries with our staff members. Confirm when the test results will be ready, then arrange a meeting with your doctor to discuss it.

Repeat Scripts

Under the current guidelines, Medicare does not allow the practice to provide repeat scripts without consultation. If eligible, the consultation may be able to be a telephone appointment, although it is best to call our team and find out specifically the requirements to each individual.
We encourage all patients to check their medication due dates regularly as we do book out in advance and may not be able to get you in on the day if you have run out.
